Total E&P Canada Invests in Alberta Communities
Total is dedicated to building lasting relationships with stakeholders closest to where we live and work. We believe in investing time and money into making our communities more resilient and better for all.
A decade of building resilient communities
Since 2006, Total has invested over $6 million dollars into local initiatives in Alberta that promote capacity building, preserve cultural heritage, and foster education. These pillars guide our actions and help connect us with key community partners whose mandates align with ours.
We’re proud of all of our past and current partnerships. Some of our more iconic community investment projects in Alberta include:
- The Total Aboriginal Interpretive Trail and Total Aboriginal Culture Corner at MacDonald Island Park in Fort McMurray
- Lycée Louis Pasteur International School in Calgary
Creating future partnerships in Alberta
When choosing our partners, we consider our community investment pillars, which are aligned with the Total Foundation. Our priority is to support communities closest to our activities – the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and the City of Calgary.
Our local employees value giving back to their community, and we encourage their commitment. Through our volunteering and gift matching programs, we leverage our financial investments by supporting employee engagement in community activities that make a difference. We give priority to community projects and initiatives that allow our employees to be actively involved in volunteer opportunities.
